What is Direct Benefit Transfer?

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) is a mechanism by which government subsidies and benefits are transferred directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries. This system ensures transparency, reduces delays, and eliminates intermediaries.

Fast & Direct Transfers

Benefits under various government schemes including PDS (ration), MGNREGA, scholarships, and pension schemes are credited directly to your bank account through the DBT system using Aadhaar-based authentication.

Secure & Transparent

Aadhaar-based DBT ensures that nobody else can claim your benefits by impersonating you. The money reaches directly to your DBT-enabled bank account of your choice with full traceability.

Multiple Scheme Support

Benefits under different schemes for which you have enrolled are transferred only to the DBT-enabled bank account of your choice. One account can receive benefits from multiple schemes.

Real-Time Monitoring

If you have availed SMS alerts facility from your bank where your DBT account is opened, the bank will send SMS alerts when DBT funds are credited. You can also check using internet or mobile banking.
